Gifted hands.

I grew up in a household where my Dad encouraged the habit of reading books. I remember when He’d hand a book each to my siblings and l, ask us to read it and give a brief summary of what we learnt. And reading books has become one of my favorite things to do.

I was twelve years old when l read the book "Gifted hands " by Dr. Ben Carson, and l loved every bit of it. And I'd be sharing with you, what l learnt.

One thing that really fascinated me about his story was that he wasn’t dettered despite the obstacles he faced. In life, challenges will come, but what matters is how you choose to respond to those challenges. Are you going to fold your arms and wish it all goes away, or face it head-on and keep being focused on what’s ahead? The choice is yours.

He also had the gift of a loving and supportive mother. She always spoke positive things over his life. It is important to surround yourself with people who are optimistic and supportive of your dreams. Negativity kills dreams!

The final one would be that he had the power of imagination. A quote by William Arthur Ward says that " If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it".
When you’re able to paint the image of what you’d want to achieve in your mind, it’d be easy to plan and work towards it.

This is a book you’d love to read.
