The Court of Life Updates.

Case study 1: Amnon and Jonadab.

I welcome you to the court of life updates, and my aim is to rub minds with you about maintaining checks and balances in all spheres of life.

Without further ado, let’s get into the business of today. I present to you the case study of two friends, Amnon and Jonadab.

This is quite an interesting one as it relates to the power of friendship. Here's a little background story of what happened between these two.

Jonadab: My friend, Amnon why do you look so sad?

Amnon: l'm in love with my sister, Tamar. I can't stop thinking about her.

Jonadab: Is that why you look so worried? Here’s what you’d do, pretend as if you’re ill and tell your father, the King to send for her so that you’d eat the meal prepared by her hands in your presence. After which, you send everyone else present in the room away and you can have your way with her.

Amnon: Wow! I didn’t know it was that simple. I will do as you have told me.

It’s so unfortunate that the counsel Amnon acted on led to his own death, and what baffled me most was Jonadab’s refusal to own up to his involvement in all that happened when he heard about his death.
